Pom Pom Makers

Have you tried the Clover Pom Pom Makers yet? I absolutely love them! (I am in no way connected to Clover, nor do I receive any compensation from them; I purchased my own set of pom pom makers.)

Here is a hat that I recently made using my large pom pom maker:

The only downside to these pom pom makers that I found was that the directions on the back of the package are scarce; however, there are several websites and YouTube videos that explain how to use the pom pom makers. There are even several websites that have projects that you can do using your pom pom maker.

For instance found at Raising Up Rubies blog:

Easy and inexpensive teacher gift

At any rate, the Clover Pom Pom Makers are on sale for 40% off on Craftsy, but this is the last day of the sale. If you are thinking about purchasing a pom pom maker, I highly recommend the ones made by Clover.

What is DK weight yarn?

I have seen (and heard) this question asked numerous times, not only from newbies, but also from people who have been crocheting and knitting for years.

Ashley Little wrote a Craftsy blog to explain just what to look for when a pattern calls for dk weight yarn. She has also included links to several knitting and crochet patterns that you can download for FREE.

You can read her blog post absolutely FREE here!

Ashley also wrote "11 Easy-to-Wear Pullover Sweater Knitting Patterns", both FREE and paid patterns; one of them might just be the pattern you have been looking for as your next project.
